Murray Darling

Littore Family Wines has 1500 hectares of warm climate, high yielding vines near Mildura and Wentworth. From the eagle's nest, there is vineyard as far as the eye can see. The most prolific is our Arlington Vineyard, which stands in obstinate greenness under an infinite blue sky and bright sunshine.

In 2007 we purchased 6,000 additional hectares of land adjoining the rear of our Arlington vineyard. We are committed to preserving almost all (5000 hectares) as bushland to ensure the integrity of the local environment.

Our vines are nurtured by drip irrigation, the most environmentally friendly method - our water sourced from the adjacent Murray and Darling rivers. These ancient waterways are the most prominent topographical features of the area, which is characterised by dry, sandy red loam soils.

With the vines set out in long, narrow rows, our modern vineyards maximise land use and minimise water consumption. This configuration also enables us to maintain our vines economically.
